COOKIE POLICY

Version 2.0 · Effective 1/1/2025 · Last updated 5/18/2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Verisq Inc. ("Verisq AI," "Verisq," "we," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on verisq.ai and related domains (the "Site"). It is a companion to our Privacy Policy.

By using our Site, you agree to the use of strictly necessary cookies. For all other cookies, we obtain your consent through our cookie banner before activating them, as required by the EU ePrivacy Directive, UK PECR, and similar laws elsewhere. You can change your cookie choices at any time through the persistent "Privacy settings" link in our footer.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognize your device, remember your preferences, and enable various features. Similar technologies — including pixels, local storage, session storage, and software development kits — work similarly. We refer to all of these collectively as "cookies" in this Policy.

Cookies set by verisq.ai itself are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by other domains loaded on our Site (for example, analytics providers or embedded content) are third-party cookies.

2. Categories of cookies we use

We organize cookies into four categories. You can accept or reject each category independently through our cookie banner.

2.1 Strictly necessary

These cookies are essential for the Site to function. They cannot be turned off through our banner because the Site won't work properly without them. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as logging in, filling out forms, or setting privacy preferences.

We do not require consent for strictly necessary cookies under EU/UK law.

2.2 Functional

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your language preference or chat history. If you reject this category, some features may not work as intended.

2.3 Analytics

These cookies help us understand how visitors use our Site so we can improve it. They count visits, identify which pages are most popular, and track navigation paths. The data collected is aggregated and does not directly identify individual visitors.

If you reject this category, we won't include your visit in our analytics.

2.4 Marketing

These cookies are used to deliver advertisements relevant to your interests, measure the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, and identify visitors as prospective customers. They are typically set by our marketing automation and advertising partners.

If you reject this category, you may still see advertisements, but they won't be tailored based on your browsing behavior.

3. Specific cookies we use

The table below lists the cookies and tracking technologies currently active on our Site. We update this list when we add or remove tools.

4. How we manage your consent

When you first visit our Site, we display a cookie banner. The banner offers three equally prominent options:

  • Accept all — enables all categories
  • Reject all — enables only strictly necessary cookies
  • Manage preferences — choose categories individually

Your choices are stored in the cp_consent cookie and respected on future visits until they expire, you withdraw consent, or we materially change our cookie usage. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Privacy settings" link in our footer.

We do not interpret continued browsing of the Site as consent to non-essential cookies. Consent is only valid when you actively click "Accept all" or specifically enable a category.

We do not use dark patterns, pre-checked boxes, or layouts that make rejecting cookies harder than accepting them.

5. Global Privacy Control

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of any cookies categorized as marketing or sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not require an additional banner interaction for users who have signaled GPC.

Browsers and extensions supporting GPC include Firefox, Brave, DuckDuckGo Browser, Privacy Badger, and Disconnect.

6. Browser controls

In addition to our banner, you can manage cookies through your browser settings. Each browser handles this differently:

  • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies
  • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy
  • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions

Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies through your browser may break Site functionality.

You can also use opt-out tools provided by third parties:

7. Do Not Track

Our Site does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" (DNT) browser signals because there is no industry-standard interpretation. We honor Global Privacy Control instead, which is supported by US state law and provides a clear opt-out mechanism.

8. Children

We do not direct our Site to children under 16 and do not knowingly use cookies to collect information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, please contact privacy@verisq.ai.

9. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through a renewed banner prompt where required by law.

10. More information

For broader information on how we handle personal information, see our Privacy Policy.
